The 2nd Asia-Pacific Adventure Ministry Conference a great success!

The 2nd Asia-Pacific Adventure Ministry Conference has been a inflammation of passion, desire and love for the Lord in the field of Adventure Ministry.  75 people from 15 countries gathered together from the 28th-31st August 2008 for the conference themed 'The Church, His Word, Our Adventure'.

Being the second conference since the first in 2007, the organisers are more experienced to design a programme that is varied, in-depth and longer.  12 workshops were conducted throughout and 5 different outdoor activities was included in the conference.  Post-Conference workshops saw participants been awarded certificate in Leave-No-Trace, Basic Wilderness First-Aid and Rock Climbing Level 1 and 2.

The most important component in the conference, however, is the fellowship and sharing of one another's experience with common purpose -  God being at the centre and adventure as the method.  Each one of the conference participant went home knowing that there is at least someone from another part of the world is doing something similar to what they doing.

APAM Network has clearly been defined.  APAM Network is made up of loose adventure ministry organisations and individuals passionate about using adventure as a ministry.  More importantly is that people's willingness to come forward to network and to collaborate.

The planning for the 3rd Asia-Pacific Adventure Ministry Conference is underway and will be held in Philippines from the 27th till the 30th August 2009
